Indonesia - 2004 to 2005 Series Banknote

In 2004, Bank of Indonesia introduced new series of Indonesian banknotes with better anti-forgery devices on the notes. These banknotes were issued in higer denominations that consist of 10000, 20000, 50000 and 100000 Rupiah. Inherited fron its previous series, this 2004 to 2005 series of banknote carries a theme of national hero during the nation's struggle for independence.

10,000 Rupiah - 2005 Series

This 10,000 Rupiah banknote was issued by Bank of Indonesia on 20 October 2005. The front features the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, a hero from South Sumatra in the nation's struggle for independance. The back features the Limas house located at Palembang, South Sumatra. Together with the release of this new note, it comes with 2, 4 and 45 pieces of uncut banknotes.

20,000 Rupiah - 2004 Series


This 20,000 Rupiah banknote was issued by Bank of Indonesia 29 December 2004. The front feature the national hero Oto Iskandar Di Nata, a hero from West Java in the nation's struggle for independence. The back feature an agriculture activity, tea plantation in West Java. This note also comes with uncut banknotes in 2, 4 and 45 pieces.

50,000 Rupiah - 2005 Series



This 50,000 Rupiah banknote was issued by Bank of Indonesia on 20 October 2005. The front features the national hero I Gusti Ngurah Rai from Bali in the nation's struggle for indepandence. The back features the Danau Beratan, Bedugul located at Bali Island. This note also comes with uncut banknotes in the pieces of 2, 4 and 45 notes.

100,000 Rupiah - 2004 Series


This 100,000 Rupiah banknote was issued by Bankno of Indonesia on 29 December 2004. The front features two national heroes, Soekarno and Hatta, the founding fathers who proclaimed the nation's independence. This note is currently the largest denomination issued by Bank of Indonesia. It has also released in uncut banknote of 2, 4 and 45 pieces.
