Japanese Invasion Banknotes of Burma

The Japanese invaded Burma in 1942 and continued ts empire until 1945 during the World War II. Upon Invasion, the Japanese Military Authority had issued the invasion banknotes with the "B' block letter that represented Burma. A total of 9 notes in varies denominations were issued. They were 1 cent, 5 cents and 10 cents in small size notes and 1/4 Rupee , 1/2 Rupee, 1 Rupee, 5 Rupees, 10 Rupees and 100 Rupees in the larger notes.
This series of Japanese Invasion Note was in fact very much similar to the Malaya series. However, the wording of "Promises To Pay The Bearer On Demand" was omitted on the denomination notes of 1, 5, 10 and 100 Rupees. Despite Burma was colonised by British, unlike Malaya, these notes were printed in Rupee instead of Dollar.
